Right back for final

Who would you guys (and gals) like to see in the right back position on saturday? If Barca play 433 as they have done most of the season the RB would more than likely have to deal wih Messi, Villa and Pedro at different times throughout the game so we would need someone who can deal with all 3 of these players. Also I believe we will need to play with a strong counter-attacking style of play as getting the ball and playing barcelona through the park will no be easy so with that in mind my assesment of the RBs a the club over the season.

O'Shea: adds height but not the quickest and is not a real attacking threat, defensivley has been found wanting at times.

Rafael: quick and good going forward. has imroved defensively since last season, seems to have a sligh fitness problem/ prone to picking up nigly injuries.

Fabio, as above but not as mature defensvly/make rash decissions
Wes Brown: much like O'Shea, hasnt had much game time all season (didnt qualify for a PL medal) so wouldnt be match fit for the final

Valencia: played at right back earlier in the campaign, would allow for Nani to play on the right for the added flair with the more drect Valencia on the overlap to put in crosses, from his racking back in the big games we know he has a defensive game.

Either of the twins. Not O'shea and certainly not Valencia.

Rafael. he has more experience than Fabio in big games.

Has to be Rafael for me, Valencia needs to be playing on the wing

Agree Belfast it's the rashness with him that worries me not his ability . The wife says she'd like to get him over her knee when he has a rush of blood , if only she knew which one he was .

I'd say Fabio, he's a lot less rash, and with Rafael there's always a worry that he will get sent off. Of course we could always play Fabio for the first half and then bring Rafael on at half time without them noticing.

Rafael, for me.
