"I hate this idea of you being the best, because you're not, I'm the best, I'm the best in the world"
Today marks the year where cm punk became one of the biggest faces in wwe, with his infamous "shoot" which shocked the wrestling community and lead to his "best in the world" gimmick which has taken him to arguably the most popular wrestler at the moment and a long reign as champion.
To me I've watched punk since survivor series 2006, and always been a fan of him since then, although i would prefer him to be a heel as this is where he shines the most, he is doing a good job as a face.
He is an excellent wrestler and terrific on the mic, his feud with daniel bryan is one of the better feuds in the recent years. So here is hoping for more CM Punk

I couldn`t see anyone daring to call him a runt though!
Funnily enough me and my eldest were watching the 2001 and 2002 Rumbles over the weekend. It really makes you realise how far downhill the company has gone in the last ten years

true but i would watch some 2008/09 ppvs then you feel a bit better about how the company is now

They're the years i started seriously disconnecting from the product. It was always sliding downhill, but those years push me into a 2 year wrestling sabbatical ...... i don't think they'll ever sink lower than Cena prevailing in a great feud with Orton (whose plummeted straight downhill ever since), beating DX in a handicap match the next PPV, then losing to the novice now known as ShameUs

I took a five year gap between 1995 and 2000 and missed most of the Attitude Era
I`m playing catch up now thanks to tagged classics from ebay and hiding behind my 9 year old sons love for all things WWE as my route inward!
