This is who we're getting for our centre midfield.
Vice-president Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes told Globo Esporte: "Arsenal's staff want him to return but we are waiting for [director of football] Adalberto Baptista to have talks with them.
"Maybe we will manage to extend the loan for six more months or even another year."
Asked about Arsenal's view on Denilson, De Jesus Lopes added: "They liked his performances, they liked Denilson's development. That's why they want him to return."

Denilson is back!

Let's get this straight. Denilson DID dissapoint! However, he went through a spell where he did actually play very well. I remember one particular Champs League game at the Emirates against Roma where he was the best player on the pitch (yes, really..), making the superb Pizzaro and De Rossi look like static traffic.
The real rot set in when he was played as a holding midfielder. Wenger was persistant in doing this and it was detrimental to the team and Denilson himself. He went from being a very promising player with a series of decent performances under his belt into a laughing stock in the space of a few months.
By the way, I'm not saying for one second he's 'what Arsenal need'. Just trying to put some perspective across...

Moistthighs in his real breakthrough season in 08/09 he was decent but he's gone backwards since. He's just a Brazillian version of Ramsey, I hope the only reason we 'want him back' is to play hard ball with Sao Paulo to force a bid out of them or something. I will go crazy if he is part of our squad next season.
