Got A Footie Prediction Like Yorkie?

Dwight Yorke has done an insightful and brave interview in Mumbai for football mag 'The Hindu', where he's gone on record predicting goal line technology will come at some point in the future and they seem to be making a rather big thing of it.

http://www.thehindu.com/sport/football/article3581520.ece

“There are additional referees on the lines now. But I think in future this (introduction of goal-line technology) will happen."

This abstract and expansive thought blew my mind, so the premonition got me wondering whether anyone on here can match Yorke by putting their reputation on the line with a future football prediction?

Like Dwight's attempt I want real ‘Tomorrows World’ type stuff, and we'll revisit this article in 20 years time to see who was right and wrong.

For example, I'll go out on a limb by predicting PSG will win the French League within that 20 year time frame...or perhaps the introduction of bonus points for things like score draws compared to goal-less draws.

Edit: For those that think this is a terrible slur on the character of Dwight Yorke, it was just a supposedly light hearted (obviously failed for some) way of asking for a few football predictions after reading The Hindu article.

Yorke was a top, top player for us so I don't care if he's made an ass of himself, he did the business on the pitch for us time and again and has never said anything negative about us, he's a top bloke

Jeez I wasnt having a pop at Yorke, he is a good guy when it comes to United. It was only tongue in cheek as The Hindu article was making a big thing of his obvious prediction.

I predict that some day a result of one team getting 3 more goals than the other, i.e. 3-0, 4-1 etc. will be rewarded with 4 points, and a standard win for 3 still.

It's not an obvious one, and not one I'd like to see, but something tells me it'll happen. Not soon, but someday.

Yeah that's an interesting thought Park Ji

I've also seen talk over the years of giving a score draw more weight compared to a nil-nil, and the same for scoring even in a defeat compared to no goals.

I predict Liverpool will be relegated within the next 5 years.

Oh....were doing a game of crazy, out of this world predictions? My bad

In that case then, Liverpool to finish top 4 in the next 20 years.

Too far fetched ?

I'm really not getting this

I predict penalty shoot outs will be replaced by an alternative in that time frame.

I still like Venables idea of having something similar but players start on the half way line, so they run with the ball and the keep can do what he likes from the point the player starts. More skill involved and the more talented players are likely to progress, and arguably it's more exciting.
