why do people not understand, that since westindies were so dominant, all the teams used to prepare flat tracks. and that was clearly advantage west indies batsman. gavascar himself has confessed this. im not trying to say any player is any better than any other, but the point of comparing is itself wrong.
u can always bring about uncovered pitches and etc, but if ur bowlers are not gd then they are just gonna be hit out of the park. Look at ishant sharma. he has the pace, and played on pitches where the bowl was swinging quite a lot when anderson and company was bowling, but he was geting hit like it was a t20 game. No matter how good the pitch is for the bowlers, if the bowler is crap he will remain crap, and so players like warne, wasim(who was making the ball tal on the flattest track ever) stand above all other great bowlers.
yes many batsmen of this era dont have a grt record against wasim and some grt bowlers, and dat itself proves that these bowlers were really good.
