Let's see now, 50,000+ x 19 = 950,000 and 8,000 (average on the low side) x 19 = 152,000 for a total of 1,104,000 (approx) all lost to the SPL as of next season thanks to club chairmen, probably for the first time in their lives, "listening to their fans"!

Talk about hypocritical bigots eh? You couldn't even make it up if you tried could you?

And to think for as long as I can remember, I defended Scottish football against all the charges of 'Disneyland North', 'Mickey Mouse League' and "why do you bother?' from anyone who even cared to acknowledge that Scottish football might still exist.

More fool me eh? Sometimes one has to be severely traumatised for reality to sink in and I can assure you, nothing has been more traumatic to me than what has happened to Rangers both by their own hand (at least the dirty hands of those who betrayed us) in the past 12 months.

While I will always support Glasgow Rangers in whatever form or level they find themselves, I will never look upon Scottish football in the manner past and certainly will never again 'step up to the plate' to defend it.

Shocking isn't it? Rangers decided that putting a competitive side on the park was more important than paying taxes or debt. They offered existing players huge wage increases to keep them at the club. They 'bought' players from other clubs in the knowledge that the money to pay for them wasn't there.

All they had to do to avoid this was sell on 3 or 4 big players at the start of the season. McGregor, Naismith and Davis would probably have sufficed but no, remaining competitive was more important.

Now we have a situation where the new Rangers are offering Black and Beattie deals that Hearts can't afford, yet the old Rangers walked away owing Hearts £800k.

Then when the other SPL clubs deem this behaviour unnaceptable they stand accused of damaging the game in Scotland. Do you not see the irony of your comments?

Irvine no.1 - if you believe selling Mcgregor, Davis and Naismith wouldve paid the running of the club, paid the wee tax case, paid the potential big tax case, paid the taxman, paid all outstanding debts then can you give the valuation for each player as I work it to be around £50million each!
