To be honest I don't see why they want Carroll. Paying around £15m is a lot for a player, when they already have Ba and Cisse.

According to the BBC Pardew apparently believes him to be available, which many Liverpool fans on this site have argued simply isn't the case.

It will all come out in the wash I suppose.

My take is that IF Carroll is sold that (a) I hope that BR isn't selling because FSG won't support him in the transfer window and (b) if BR believes that he will not fit into his ethos of possession football then I will trust him to make the right call.

Although if you read the quotes and not what the BBC make up, Pardew simply says he is nothing to do with it and if the owners are buying him, then he's a good player but it's got nothing to do with him.
