Quotes from graham hunter, seems to think cazorla is likely to head to arsenal.
“This is the big story, Malaga are not paying their players or tax to the Spanish F.A.
"Clubs have been aware of this for a long time. Redknapp had a big interest and Tottenham know a lot about the player"
“However Arsenal are far better placed, they are further down the road, Arsenal are ahead of every club in Europe to sign Cazorla. He’d fit in perfectly at Barcelona but if Arsenal continue pushing they will sign him"
Cazorla set for Arsenal?

They don't lie though, they talk about real deals that may go through and have some substance. They just make them seem more likely to happen than they are.

Verm05 is trying to jinx it so Santi joins us I'm doing the same. He's saying the opposite of what he actually thinks will happen.

Doesn't matter who says what. Point is, we won't be signing Cazorla because Wenger rarely spends big money (for Wenger, 15 million is big money) on players we don't desperately need.
We have Ramsey, Diaby, Rosicky and Ox who can play in the attacking midfield role.
Ramsey will only miss like a week or 2 of the season, Diaby is fit, as is Ox. What will happen to those 3 if Cazorla arrives?
Wenger last season admitted 'we over-rely on RVP for goals' so he wanted some new strikers. I'm pretty sure he's happy with his attacking midfield options.

I'm really not trying to jinx it
Genuinely don't think we'll go for Cazorla. I can see a deep-lying midfielder coming in because Song has to go to Africa in January and Wilshere remains on the sidelines.

Cazorla can play front 3 too. Last year we relied on ramsey and Rosicky alone. A similar situation could easily happen again. Chambo is still far away from being a starter. Even Wenger can not rely on Diaby any more.
Walcott could be off too. Up front we only have Pod, Giroud, Theo, AOC and Gervinho. Thats only 2 back ups for three positions for a whole season.
Its possible, but unlikely. We went for Mata last year when we had a similar squad.
Then again, maybe I should learn from my mistakes. Every year for the past 6 I have spent the summer expecting Wenger to change his ways and he never has.

We went for Mata last year, failed, and then signed Arteta. I know they're different players but I think when Wenger signed Arteta, he wanted him to play like the main attacking midfielder, like he used to at Everton. However, he probably realised Arteta was a great deep-lying playmaker so he played him alongside Song and stuck with Ramsey in the side.

Cazorla can play in most attacking positions, he's best in a central role though.

Arteta was definitely signed as a deep lying midfielder, wilshere and diaby had injury problems and we needed somebody to pair with song. Ramsey and rosicky are less effective in a deeper role. We were too slow last summer and ended up with benayoun.
