Red Bull - Cheats?

Huge story breaking this morning, it seems as though Red Bull, in the news recently for engine mapping have been caught up in another row.

In this years Canadian grand prix the FIA queried a switch found on the Red Bull, the switch is thought to be able to adjust the ride height from the cockpit.... which is banned.

I'm not to sure what to believe, if they do have a switch that controls ride height and the FIA found it I'm pretty sure they'd have been banned or fined by now.

Apart from this, everything else that they've done will have been done by other teams if Red Bull hadn't got there first.

When every innovation is banned, you have to find loopholes in order to get ahead.

So why is it it's always the same team getting the attention of the FIA?

They are cheats, they've got no race pedigree and are cheating to get ahead. I just hope for their drivers sake that it doesn't end in tragedy one day

It is always the same team as they have one of the best designers of a car ever in Adrian Newey. A great designer always looks for loopholes and that has to be admired.

Someone who looks to circumvent the rules should be admired, hmmm

So by extension tax dodgers and criminals should be admired as well

I have to adnit I am also a bit lost on this "engineer's job to find loop-holes" excuse that has been trotted out in recent years.
Why the old reasoning of "inventiveness and ingenuity" isn't sufficient I don't know.

What Newey is really good at is finding bits in the regulations which are ambiguous. He then finds ways to exploit these areas to the teams advantage. Ross Brawn is of the same ilk.
When the innovation is obvious, like the double diffuser, others soon copy. Things like flexible front wings, less so because the technology is hidden.
Whether the rules have been broken is up to the stewards and the FIA to decide. In my opionion some of what RBR have been up to IS cheating but difficult to prove.
