Congratulations Nole Thread

people I didn't like on v2 were a very small minority, in fact, I got on well with everybody, it's not my style to make enemies, but on forums some people you like more and some less. No big deal for me.
I never liked being snubbed in my joy for Nole, which I was, that happened early on and got all my alarm bells ringing, however, I persevered, but was grieved by the authoritarian atmosphere as I could feel it from time to time.
The point is, it did not have to be like that, v2 was avery lonely place when I joined and then a few others such as Tenez helped attract others as he started some very interesting debates.
IN the meantime some who did not look good in those debates could not live with themselves like that so started complaining to mods behind closed doors.
I was completely oblivious to all that and only realised what went on when Tenez was banned.
I decided to leave as well mainly in protest to kicking out somebody decent for no reason but thin-skin vanity being hurt.
I have "known" several posters there for a many years from the old bbc 606, and enjoyed having daily chats about tennis as well as a bit of comic relief.
Then you get a couple of Nadal fans who can't hack somebody knowing a bit more than them and spelling it out in a civilised manner.
Not good, is it?

I think you worry a little too much about telling people what opinion they should or shouldn't have.

I can just tell you what it is: I liked the site as it was until few months ago, then afterwards I liked it less. Think it's quite clear now?

But what has happened has happened. All this petition thing has done is reopened wounds on both sides. Anyway that is all I wanted to say on the matter. You are happier now so that is all that should bother you. Anyways off to watch the Olympics Closing Ceremony.

Yes, very true, 606v2 took the old 606 legacy and that is way I got into it, but it didn't really live up to that legacy.
