The Peelers have got to come down hard on this sort of thing. We all know what they are trying to do at the moment,ie. no confrontation/contain/observe/swoop later with CCTV evidence. However, "observe" usually translates into "stand and watch while people and property are hurt/damaged".

Im afraid they are going to have to start intervening if they dont wish to become a laughing stock! Now that the composition of the police broadly reflects the whole population the EXREPs and others wont find it so easy to cast their sectarian slurs.

The only way to stop a rioting crowd is to go in and go in quick and hard. It will result in considerably less damage to people, property, community relations and public finances than the present "observe and contain" approach. Lets get on with it!
