When you said generally castle, it was in reference to Catholics supporting Celtic.

That wasn't the point I was making. Catholics probably do tend to support Celtic, but as I was saying, most of the Celtic fans I know aren't catholic. Therefore if 15% of Scotland is catholic and support Celtic (which they all don't of course) and there are many non-religious or Protestant celtic fans then we have more than 15% of the share of fans.

West.....totally agree mate. But I fear it will only get worse. And to be fair you can understand it.....if I was a kid and you saw the disparity in quality between the leagues I may well have opted to watch the good stuff. The majority of fans are armchair fans afterall.

You could also say not all Catholics like football JJ, but I was using it as a guide JJ and nothing more. I would argue you are in the minority re non dom friends who support Celtic 99% of Celtic fans I know are Catholic. I wouldn't say there are a lot of COS Celtic fans. A few certainly, but a small percentage, as for other faiths and non doms I'm sure there are a good percentage, but your majority fanbase comes from mainly Catholic and that was my point. Even if in your case with friends that isn't the case. Not looking for a serious in depth sociological discussion on it though, but you make a valid point.

Spike, i know even if people taken their kids to a few more games, the more games they go to the better it gets Its normally the people wearing the english tops that complain about the state of the game up here

I'd still say Rangers and Celtic share an equal fan base. Of the football fans I know most are OF fans and there's about the same amount of each, then there's the odd few Caley, County, Aberdeen, Dundee utd fans etc

I always tend to feel outnumbered as a rangers fan in most situations
