Yeah, I thought that about Findley when we signed him. But, as far as I can tell, he's a left sided player, so where does that leave Reid? And if Miller was to play out wide, he's also kind of left sided. We night a natural right winger in my opinion. But yes, I am in complete agreement that we've completely improved competition everywhere else on the pitch.

Bader Al Mutawa will turn out to be a good signing from what I've heard about him

I'm sure only 3 weeks ago we only had 6 1st team players Miraculous turnaround
I've heard good things about Al Mutawa too ... Only went to the AV game preseason so haven't seen him. Hopefully he'll be a great signing though who can play down the wing a well as score plenty.

strength in depth?
the second XI would feature at least 4 of the players playing out of position

You do realise that strength in depth doesn't necessarily mean 2 internationals in every position?

yes, but strength in depth certainly doesn't mean that just one injury in a certain position can leave you playing people out of position.
he's got moussi at centre half in his second XI with no other option written in brackets next to his name, a wholly right footed right back at left back and a 4-4-2 formation without a single wide midfielder.
we're top heavy with forwards and central midfielders with no depth of any description in other positions.

I don't think anyone is under any illusions that we still need some reinforcements. But given the position we were in a month ago, I'm more than happy with the position we are in now, with the season about to start.

i agree things are certainly looking better than they were a month ago
