Does anyone else miss their presence in the CL? I remember watching their CL tie with AC Milan a few years back and the game at the San Siro was probably the best I've watched.
I actually can't speak highly enough of Lyon. They are a fantastic club with great fans and really do lift the people of the Rhone in general. Although they don't have any immediate rivals in the area they still do challenge Marseille and PSG right at the top.
Lyon are just great, along with Monaco they are probably my favourite French Club

Lyon were the perennial bogey team of Real Madrid and even last season they had one of the best CL performances of all time to beat Zagreb 7-1 and send them through to the group stages. It was a pulsating game

France are such a big country in terms of Europe, yet their clubs under-perform a lot in European competition.
I don't mind Lyon, I remember playing them in the 'Champions League' about ten years ago, it was also a great game.
