A Class Act

Morning

Whilst I could write this about Jordan Rhodes for his goal yesterday and the way he conducts himself I am actually once again amazed by Dean Hoyle.

As I live the other side of the Pennines I don’t get the Examiner and so I only just came across this story about the foundation Dean has set up to provide poor kids with free breakfasts:

http://www.examiner.co.uk/news/local-west-yorkshire-news/2012/07/28/huddersfield-town-foundation-launched-by-dean-hoyle-to-help-the-make-difference-to-young-people-86081-31490714/

With all the cuts going on I’m sure this will be vital for some people in the town and the fact that he has set this up and put his own money in speaks volumes about the character of the man. Many people that make the money he has move to some tax haven and spend their money on yachts and model wives. Its refreshing to hear stories like this and Bill Gates' foundation to know that not every super rich person has to be a "Joey Barton".

I really think he deserves a knighthood for his work for the local community if not for business. He is someone who same from nothing and made a huge success of himself, that to me is more admirable than some of the people who get knighted.

He is an absolute top bloke. You have no idea how lucky you are to have someone like that as chairman. I would be surprised if he avoids the honours list for much longer

I heard that mentioned, how do we know that?? I hadnt seen news about it but fair play to him if he has! I believe in the early days of Card Factory he made bold moves like buying huge quantities of cards cheap, way more then anyone thought he could flog but having the guts to take that risk paid off massively. I guess that mentality has always been in him, or else why would be be a chairman of a football club!!!
