RVP, Song, Sunderland, and Whatever Else

The opening of a new EPL season is upon us, and I can't wait to get started. I don't know if this was posted earlier this week, and if it was I apologize. Is it just me or are there a lot of similarities between RVP's move to Man U and Sol Campbell's move to Arsenal from Spurs? The only difference being that we got 24 million quid and Spurs got to watch their former captain lift a couple of trophies with us without getting any money. I remember then that I was so thrilled that Sol was joining us, and that Spurs fans were absolutely gutted. The branded him as "Judas" and hung him in effigy. The similarities between the two to me have not been mentioned at all by any of the British press and that surprises me. Good luck to RVP, sad to see him go but happy that we got 24 million for a 29 year old who had one great year out of 8!

Another player that wants out, and should be let out, is Alex Song. The man is the least "defensive" defensive midfielder in the Prem. I'm a fan of Song, but he need to remember to protect the back 4 from time to time. If Barca want to give us 15 million so we can buy a M'Vila or whoever else we've been linked with then great. I am not in the Arsene Knows Best group, but it does annoy me that the press always slate us for selling our best players because they feel they can't win trophies here...WELL AREN'T THEY THE ONES ON THE PITCH WHO KEEP CHOKING?!? Arsene puts them out there, but he isn't kicking the ball. Let's face it, most of today's players are mercenaries anyways.

I think Poldi, Giroud, and Cazorla are going to have a huge impact this year, and I think that Steve Bould is going to prove to be a great appointment.

As for Sunderland, I read somewhere that Martin O'Neill has won only once against Arsenal in 16 games. Therefor I'm going for 3-Nil to the Gunners!

Great to have TV5 wearing the armband and great to have Arteta as vice-captain. Also I'm happy for Jack to have the Number 10 shirt, the man is Arsenal thru and thru. COYG!
