Surely not. Last time I saw him it looked as if he'd struggle to walk to the ring let alone fight in it. But Malignaggi has given him a way back but the last thing British boxing wants is for Hatton to come back and lose and damage his legacy. He was a great fighter, wore his heart on his sleeve and delivered big fights. There's no shame in losing to FMJ or Manny but his time is over.

did he??
othe than tzu i cant remember any decent showing by hatton against a top rated boxer.
he was battered by both mayweather and manny when he was up against top fighters.
to me hatton was way overhyped.

Dont agree with this. I'm with duncan, I cant remember any fight where he stodd out as a great fighter. Did ok against Floyd for a round maybe but Manny destroyed him. Hope he doesnt make a come back, and if he does I for one won't be watching.

he wouldn't have to worry too much about getting knocked out by malignaggi but i don't see the point of a comeback.
the wear and tear of ballooning between fights and cutting vast amounts of weight cost him 3-4 years of his prime imo. there's no way around that and he'll never be the fighter he was at his best. thanks for the memories but let's leave it at that ricky.
oh, and to those who ever thought he'd have lost to junior witter, you are and always will be utter idiots who based that viewpoint on race alone

I reckon he's doing this cos his promotions company has bled him dry, so prob needs topping up.
Ricky can comeback for a few fights / his name and style will earn him another small fortune, everyone will want to see the Ricky return

I dont. Didnt excite me as a fighter, overrated due to the fact he's English and good with the media. Hope he stays away from the ring.

You may not but im sure there will be plenty of other fans / perhaps more casual fans but he will still get a huge following.
If he didnt excite you fair enough, but IMO he was a pretty exciting fighter than only really fell short at elite level.
