The rise of Angelique Kerber

Kerber beat Williams on the way to today's final in Cincinnati against Na.

She's been steadily rising up the rankings this year and it makes for a very very open women's game at the moment, any of them can beat each other.

Much as I admire the achievements of the Williams sisters, it's great to have a number of players who are all possible of winning, looking forward to both the men's and ladies finals.

I really dislike Geman tennis players, both Kerber and Lisicki, no flair or finesse about them.

5 German ladies in top 50 shows they're doing something right.

They definitely are, just that I don't like their "school" of tennis, men are a lot better.

Well Lisicki and Kerber's is bash the ball hard and beef your self up in order to be able to do it.

That's not tennis. At least not the one I'd spend time watching.

It's exactly what Nole does.

Beef? If there's a women's player who beefs up its Williams.
