That have made first team appearance..
Suarez
Borini
Pacheco
Asaidi
Sterling
Morgan (not ready IMO)
First team option:
Asaidi Borini Suarez
Backup:
Pacheco Morgan Sterling
So we don't need to recall Carroll or sign Owen
Stop it!
Looks extremely lightweight atm but lets the kids step up.

Players who can play the main striker role effectively:-

A lot of them can but it's not actually their favoured position

Since we need a forward who can actually be a focal point, I reckon Ngoo could get a few outings.
Obviously it's a big step up, but he's mobile, strong, decent on the ball and can score. His strength and mobility won't have as much of a bearing when he's against Prem defenders, but in theory he could be a threat and could also bring players like Suarez and Sterling into the game.
IMO, it's an avenue we may as well explore - our play breaks down a lot in the final third, so if Ngoo can hold onto the ball and occupy defenders, maybe himself, Sterling, Suarez, Borini etc will have a better chance of impacting. It would also allow Gerrard to get forward in support.
Just a thought.

I certainly think it'd work better than Morgan.

TOOR, for the moment Morgan would appear to be a RWF. Ngoo, I reckon, has the attributes to potentially slot in at CF.
I wouldn't mind Morgan playing at CF if we switched to 4-2-3-1 with Gerrard as a designated second striker. But in a 4-3-3 we definitely are lacking a strIker with the all-round game to fit properly, and we could do worse than give Ngoo a go. Big step up, though.
Phil, get stuffed.

I agree.
However I have always said Morgan is nowhere near ready and that is especially so in this system. However Brendan may have to change the system if Suarez in the main striker role, continues to fail.

Morgan's all round game is very raw, definitely. In a 4-3-3, he wouldn't have the movement, hold up play or decision making to be effective.
I think Suarez, as long as he's supported by the wide forwards and attacking midfielder, COULD be the answer, but he really does have to be more intelligent. His movement, work rate, tenacity and technical ability make him a nightmare to defend against, but so many times he makes the wrong decision. Finishing, passing, dribbling - he just seems to be his own nemesis sometimes.
So many times against Hearts we had great opportunities to trouble their defence, with Suarez being supported by Sterling, Morgan and Gerrard, only for him to over elaborate and dribble into a defender. People, justifiably, complain about his finishing, but even if he tightened up his decision making he'd be much more effective.

On one hand people are telling us FSG have done little wrong and that everything is fine, and on the other hand we are talking about which of our teenage wingers we can use as strikers.
I do fear for us this season, big time.
