Well, as a few have pointed out whatever we think about the goings on of yesterday we have all had points to make and I think made them well.
I'd just like to say my epic swindle article is the last one I will be posting on the issue. From now on the team needs support and my writings will be very much in line with games and players. My apologies to those I have upset, any fans of the club is a friend of mine. Even Taggs!
So I was just browsing the Liverpool website and found the list of Academy players has been updated. The likes of Alex O'Hanlon who has been compared to Gareth Bale are included along with Nacho Huertas a tricky forward we signed from Albacete and Dan Smith who we signed from Crewe. They are all players I feel can get as far as the first team among others.
And our new signing Samid Yesil has been given a place in the first team squad which is a bit of a surprise. He may well feature this season given the fact we have very little cover up front.
Another surprise is that Jose Segura is still listed as Academy technical director I'm wondering now if he is still at the club after all.
Anyway, the gauntlet has been thrown down to all the young players to bust their guts to get into the first team, the opportunities are there (as Raheem has proved) more than ever and BR will be watching with interest to see who makes a move.
I'd be interested to hear your views on the part the Academy will play in this new era and to be fair to FSG they have said all along that it is the way to go. So maybe our reluctance in the transfer market is partly geared to the Academy, a silver lining for me as I have always followed their progress.
At least that is the way I prefer to think about it now.
The Liverpool Academy (Silver Lining)

There is a silver lining after all...
I've been saying it since last night, the likes of Ngoo could do no worse than Carroll did last night and there's no proof Carroll would've done better this season. Dempsey isn't a striker and only scored 20 goals after several seasons of 6, 12, 10.. goals.
Good thing is that we have class in the team and there's a chance youths will step up if needed.

Hesse 18 he's not been brought in as a youth player or reserve. He won't play everyweek but he will get games and I'm going to have a little bet that he'll score more than 4 league goals!

No idea what Hesse means!

The Yesil scored like 58 in 79 and has always played with old kids (bit like Raheem). He's also made first team league app.

Hesse is another German player I'm thinking.

Indeed, people scream out for the youngsters to be given a chance and now they are going to get one hell of a big chance.
Step forward Pacheco, Sterling, Morgan, Suso, Yesil, Ngoo, Robinson, Flannagan your yime has come, your time is now!

Good article and I hope others follow your lead in focusing on the team rather than your grievances against FSG in future posts.
For me we're getting closer to reaping what we sow. We invested pretty heavily in the academy and slowly it's beginning to pay off. Top prospects are Sterling, Robinson and Suso.
I have high hopes for Coady, Adorjan and Sama / Wisdom (the last 2 only if they improve their passing).
