on a more serious note, in Brendan's system, only place I can see Gerrard fitting is at the front trio. Would be interesting to see him as a false 9, with freedom to roam and create, with no defensive duties, like Cesc' role in Barca. Though he might not have the legs, but if he doesn't have the legs for that, then it's over. Think about it, he might still have a few goals in him, and it's not looking that Sterling, Borini or Suarez would provide us with goals..

If we don't have a striker then this has to be tried, no point sticking with something that doesn't work.

Sahin is best in a midfield two, just need a DM next tnm him...
