If we can be patient, then the kids currently at Anfield may well give us a great deal to cheer about:
Shelvey
Kelly
Robinson
Suso
Sterling
Yesil
Coates
Morgan
Not to mention slightly older:
Allen
Assaidi
Borini
I think its the best crop for absolute years, trouble is poeople are not patient enough.
Youngsters eh.

There have been many average players throughout SPL history who have 'scored for fun'. Unfortunately that doesn't mean they're good enough to play for a top club in the English Premier League. Hooper certainly fits in with this.

Gerrard should be moved forward into the front three, where his risk taking and excellent delivery could pay more dividends.
Given the weakness in terms of depth in these positions, I think it's worth a go.

It's certainly worth a try. Brendan said recently, he may have to look at his squad and make small changes, to suit the players, he has. This could be one.

Where would you play Gerrard?? Id play the front like this:
-------------------Allen--------------
--------Shelvey-------Sahin------
--Suarez------------------Sterling
-----------------Borini---------------
Gerrard on the bench, or swop Sahin for Gerrard.

Got_ while I agree with your overall assessment, there is one challenge. Jonjo. I've said it before and have sadly been proved right for once. He's a yellow/red card waiting to happen every time he goes in for a tackle. jimmyTheRed

So is Scholes, always has been, always will be. He turned out alright though.

So was Gerrard....his tackling was assault when he started.

I agree jimmy, he is walking a bit of a tightrope with his tackling, especially when the rules make football a non contact sport and players making a meal of things and tumbling everywhere like autumn leaves.
However, Shelvey at least has a bit of appetite for the game and doesn't hide which some of our players have been guilty of. I hope he keeps that fire, but learns to stop diving in.

To the comment about Borini not showing much thus far .....
He can score goals and get into positions where he is a threat. I've seen him track back like an absolute beast, then turn around and counter just as fast!
I have faith in the kid - could be our new age Kuyt!
(Please bear in mind I will not accept any insulting comments towards Dirk - legend)
He won't create goals from thin air and that is his downside! However once Luis learns to be less selfish (I hope, pray) this kid is the perfect partner!
So anyways we are a few games in let's wait a season before over analysing a young striker still learning his trade at this top level

The best time to play Utd is when we are sht...we always turn it on for them; couldnt come at a better time.
