Djokovic had a stormer of a year last year in terms of his winning streak, but he's not a patch on Ether Vergeer.
Esther has just won her 470th match in a row, she was last beaten in January 2003.
Esther just won the gold medal at the Paralympics tennis, what a story, well done Esther Vergeer!

The classifications can be quite contentious, I don't pretend to know all the ins and outs but what a record!

I went to Paralympics athletics this week and you see a variety of athletes on view, it was a super experience and I'd recommend anyone, if they ever get the chance to support the Paralympians, they truly are superhuman.

I couldn't muster the courage to watch paralympics. These guys are the epitome of courage. I saw the headline that Zanardi won the gold and I thought that Zanardi was F1 driver and what is he doing in Paralympics but when I checked the news, it was quite emotional. I forgot about Zanardi's crash but what courage by him. And we know about Zanardi but there are so many more who have defied the odds. Hats off
