Alonso seems to have luck on his side

wow, if he finishes 2nd then it would be somehow probably his best race in terms of everything going for him. vettel gets a drive throughmassa will give way for alonso and button looked like an easy 2nd and his car has no drive. Hamilton has to win and alonso has to have a car fail to make the title race interesting.

I was hoping button finished at least 2nd and alonso finished low on points but instead it looks like alonso has a tight grip on the championship. When buttons car drive went with fuel pick up problem, the race went boring as vettel got a drive through as well it means alonso can easily get 18 points.

Oh well we saw in 2010 luck sometimes ends. Alonso has managed to consistently finish which is the difference while I remember hamilton crash with maldonado the day hamilton championship hopes took a dent. Today button had an outsider chance but now is wiped away. It just seems alonso is destined to win it this year with a slower car you could say. His car is now level with mclaren speed wise but it seems that fortune has favoured alonso and drivers like button hamilton vettel etc have been hampered from good positions with car failure or penalty or incidents that cost big chunk of points which alonso has gained on.

Shows you if you just stay on the track and make advantage of cars failing you can win the championship even though its not over, this weekend could be when alonso tightened his grip again on the championship. Safe to say button is now out of the championship race and his outsider chances goes.

Now I will gte back to watch again. I hope the championship doesn't become inevitable as it makes it less interesting like when vettel stormed to his championship.

Wow perez could get 2nd here, his strategy and tyre management working again. He seems one of the standout drivers. Come on perez. Who knows alonso could make a mistake yet.

perez sweeps past massa, lets hope he overtakes alonso and alonso makes a mistake.

perez sweeps past alonso. Hamilton has got a big gap though.

Yes, it was very lucky last week when Grosjean took him out in the first corner with Alonso almost guaranteed a podium finish.

Alonso should be able to hold on to the lead with 7 races left. Hamilton would have to win 4 or 5 of the races to have a chance.

Alonso only needs a couple of dnf's and things would change a lot, but of course we know it will be most likely Hammy it will happen to knowing his bad luck so far.
