Hilda the head cook at the training ground has just informed me. The price of ordinary coal is to rise two penny a hundred weight and five penny for Anthracite.

It's shocking news as the club still uses so much coal for heating the pitch, bath water and swimming pool, Phil’s splash pool and all cooking at the Reebok and training grounds. She says the January transfer fund will be reduced to enable the club to heat the pitch in the bad winter weather and cold food for fans at half time, brews maybe from a flask.

A new photocopy is now in doubt. Phil is going to place an ad in the next Buff for a new travel firm as the old steam powered traction engine and cart are no longer viable for away games this will further decrease the next transfer pot.

Only good news is that Hilda managed to negotiate a rise in her budget to keep the ovens on and the lads warm in the canteen when the wicked weather comes around at the training ground.
She also heard Fluorescent shirts are on order just in case the price of leccy rises this winter with the flood lights due to be in use so much with all these extra midweek games we going on a pre pay meter for the lights.
