Why Nole will not win 10+ slams
The four players that won 10+ slams in the open era, Borg, Sampras, Federer and Nadal at one point in their careers were 10-2 in slam finals. All four of them. By the time Borg, Sampras. Federer and Nadal lost their fourth slam final, they had 10+ slams.
After losing his fourth slam final, Borg had already won 11 slams, Sampras had already won 13 slams, Federer had already won 12 slams and Nadal had already won 10 slams.
Djokovic has already lost his fourth slam final but has only won 5 slams. He is nowhere close to the 10+ slams that Borg, Sampras. Federer and Nadal had already won by the time they lost the fourth slam final of their careers.
Djokovic is not following the trajectory of the 10+slam winners of the open era since he is 5-4 in slam finals. His trajectory is more similar to the players that won around 8 slams in the Open era.

What does it matter?
We've just been treated to a thrilling match involving Nole and all you can do is be negative and try and knock the guy.

Plus now Nole has another rival that will not let him win 10+, Andy Murray. Murray will be a huge rival at the hc slams and at wimbledon. Add to that Federer at Wimbledon and Nadal at the French open and winning many slams will not be possible for him.
Nole will retire with 8 slams.

Nole Djokovic is doing as well as he possibly can and I commend the lad. Who cares how many grand slams he will get in the end.
Comparing him with those legends, who have already left their legacies is extremely unfair. I have enjoyed each of those tennis players games and lived through their respective eras. That said, how do you know Djokovic won't get a dozen grand slams anyway? Records fall every week.
By the way if he does not win 10 grand slams who is going to win the next 20? Will Andy Murray win them all? or do you think Raonic and Berdych have a better chance than Djokovic?
Looking at the current state of mens tennis, Djokovic should be licking his lips.
