I read in the Burton Mail today that Billy may not get a guaranteed start against Oxford as a footballing decision - primarily on the grounds that Paterson deserves a chance after the Coventry and Rochdale games.
To me that is barking mad.
1/ In my opinion with an 80% fit (or more) Billy Kee all that remains is to pick the other 10 players.
2/ I went to the Coventry and Rochdale games. Paterson was a nuisance but didn't exactly do much against Coventry and had a good game against Rochdale.
By all means, ease players back in after international duty if necessary. In this case Billy Kee played 9 minutes on Monday in Denmark.
It might just be Managers football talk to keep 'em on their toes.
What do you think?
Barking Mad or Football Talk?

Good day to you all from your old mate Terraceman although i'm not a terrace man any more ! Have been following goings on at the Pirelli and even came to the pre season game v Leicester.
Looking from the outside in, to me it would appear Gary Rowett has appointed the back room etc very wisely and improved the quality of the squad dramatically giving competition for every position. I've been impressed by all his signings bar Phillips but believe his last one we be the most important. Stuart Tomlinson, he has removed the weakest link. Good luck, good health and enjoy your football all of you.
I believe i'm at the Northampton game for my mates birthday if my health allows.

Well, that is a relief. I was concerned by your absence Mr Terraceman - what with your ill health.
Great to have you back commenting on the Brewers. Are you going to join the predictor league?

Agree with Terraceman, Tomlinson looks to be a very good acquisition.
As for playing 3 strikers DerbyYellow - I just can't see it, so it will be any two from five, with probably Calv and Paterson shaving it after Rochdale.
Definitely got the tingles about games at the moment, cannot wait for tomorrow, Oxford are a good team, but at the moment I believe we have the beating of them.
Up The Brewers!

Hi Otep, probably not but i will follow with interest, see Emnez is setting the pace again !
I'll just settle for the odd comment here and there as i'm still on chemo until the end of April 2013 !
I'm still involved with the BAFC girls u16's and we start our season Saturday morning.

Delighted to have to back on the site terraceman!
I must agreed that a fit Billy Kee should start any game for the Brewers, he is our best player and the one that offers most whether in or out of form.
Maybe an option for a change of formation to 4-3-3:
Tomlinson
O'Connor
Diamond
Holnes
McCrory
Weir
Maghoma
Bell
Kee
Zola
Paterson

Marathon not a sprint. Yes, Mr Emnez is top of the table at present but the title is mine this year.
C'mon Mr Terrace, our predictor league needs you. As a wily pundit you'll soon be in the top 3 knowing you.
I have to agree with BurtonBoy. I turned up at Rotherham quite ambivalent about everything. I was soon jumping up and down from my seat. Now I can't wait for each game. After the Rochdale game I was desperate for some more football and wanted a game to be re-arranged for midweek.

Hope all goes well for you Terraceman. I agree it was a good move on Rowett's part signing Stuart Tomlinson and hope Rowett extends his contract.
