Liverpool's lack of senior strikers...

I dunno mans ain't an expert or nothin but I just got this strange feeling somebody's gonna get their b0llocks blown off in this Europa game.

What I've seen Yesil is far more talented than either Morgan or Ngoo..

On a side note how lucky were we to have Robbie and Michael come though at more or less the same time? And how did we not make a Premiership winning team out of the talent we had?

Because Owen kept telling Houllier's that he preferred playing with Heskey. Heskey did the donkey work, Owen took the plaudits. That don't happen when he played with Fowler because Fowler was the better footballer/striker.

When Owen came through Fowler was already in decline with injuries beginning to take hold. Luckily we brought Heskey in, who was the perfect foil for Owen.

We had good strikers but our defence was poor. When Houllier came in, he sorted the defence and made good adjustments but the team was nowhere near good enough to win the league and with the final push we signed Diouf and Daio.

We should have won the league when Roy Evans was manager in my opinion, but we lacked the determination and work ethic required, a bit too much enjoying the new money going on.

The Fowler / Collymore pairing was, for about 18 months, one of the best in Europe - no exaggeration

^^ Wasnt the reason why we didnt win the league that season due to David James having a shocking 2nd part of the season?

one of the reasons I suppose - along with Babb.

We done all the hardwork and then threw silly points away to the likes of Coventry at home etc

Evans problem was in defense - Phil Babb - need I say more

McAteer at right back wasnt great either defensivley.

One thing I did not like was how Evans made Barnes and Collymore scapegoats for not winning the title as both left the season after.
