Don't Know About You But I'm Now Resigned

...to the fact that it's Everton's season and not ours.

'Maybve they also can see the future is looking good.'

Or maybe they're prepared to give Brendan a chance. OK. All I'm saying is if it doesn't work out they may well walk yet.

As for Kenny's spends, yes, that wouldn't have helped (that's what I meant about the top four) but the only players gone are Adam (sold) and Carroll (on loan). We still have that £20 million lemon Downing. We haven't recouped what we've lost and we didn't gain much in the transfer market, except Allen.

The game tomorrow is a big one for BR.

Agreed.
If we can win tomorrow, a decent run, with three very winnable games coming up after this game, would see us shoot up the table, and maybe provide a little more balance, in terms of how Brendan's team is looked upon, and what we can achieve this season.

I agree with paisley this game is vital tomorrow and the three after that are vital we need 10 points minimum from the next 4 games really...

Kenny spent £30m net.

In that time he turned the team around under Hodgson, kept us in top 4 contention for six months, then the team fell away badly in the league, but he won a trophy and reached the final of another.

Only time will tell if removing him was the right decision. As it stands today, the jury is out. Sacking him has proved a divisive decision amongst us supporters. I felt it would have been wise to have given him another season, then if things got worse, the supporters who have been whole heartily behind the decision, because he was given a realistic chance.

I wonder what some of you will be saying who were baying for Kenny's blood if we finish in a similar position or lower in the league, but fail to win any trophies?

I didn't understand FSG's knee-jerk decision, just as I didn't understand their apparent reluctance to allow the manager to bring in a player who he wanted. (Dempsey), yet allow their £35m man to walk out the door on loan, without a replacement coming in.

All I can hope is that BR retains their support and that of the fans. Even though it sticks in the throat that they are preaching patience, when FSG themselves have shown very little.

Here is what I don't understand about FSG..

First window we sell Torres but buy Suarez.. They are he'll bent on buying a striker so we buy Carroll who is injured and hardly plays all season but he wasn't to come in because we were short on strikers and it was seen as a panic buy...

Since then we sell most of our attacking players and put Carroll out on loan so are considerably worse off than when we first sold Torres and bought Suarez in the first place????

Why panic but in desperation for a striker then whittle all the attacking players away and accept that 35 million down??? BIZARRE!!!!

Paisleys : I would have liked Kenny to have another season myself. However I can see why FSG decided not to give him more time.
The 30 mill netspend is irrelevant, as whichever way you look at it, he spent well over 100 million on players who quite simply weren't worth it.

Wishi : "...but the only players gone are Adam (sold) and Carroll (on loan). We still have that £20 million lemon Downing..." Exactly!! because everyone else can see the rest are not worth buying!

Dont understand FSG?? I think its incredibly simple really, but people are looking for something that isnt there. Here's the 64 thousand dollar answer.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
THEY ARE NEW TO FOOTBALL...AND WILL MAKE MISTAKES; SHOCK HORROR!!

Thats it..no more, no less. People just dont want to "get" it because its too simplistic, but i have a hunch (Americanism..lol) i am right..

Credit where it is due, Everton are very good team and the times i have seen them this season they have been outstanding, i have been extremely impressed.

Whilst i wish we looked as good - that is football , Liverpool will come again.

oh and I have made Everton the cornerstone of my bets and they have not let me down
