Thankfully we are through and I dont see with this pace attack we are getting through the next round unless a miracle happens to Tavir's and Gul's bowling. Selectors made a blunder by not picking Junaid and opting for Tanvir. Its ironic that none of our fast bowlers was worthy enough to bowl the last over of the innings and Arafat had to be trusted for that.

Nazir to me has played his one off knock that he plays every 10 matches. My expectations to be honest are not that high from the team specially when we have Saffers and Aussies to face, thankfully though we have one weaker team to go with them as well

Amir, I actually agree with your stance on Imran nazir and have also wanted him in. Thing is take out nazir, and what alternatives do you have? Razzaq or shafiq? Would prefer Imran up there and Jamshed providing the insurance at number 3.

Formation of Group is laughable.In one of the group, all the teams were no 1 side in their previous group,i.e
1) Australia
2) India
3) Pakistan
4) SouthAfrica

Has the host nation done the super 8 group formation on ranking basis deliberately in order to make easier for themselves to go through.

super 8 groups are a joke, how is possible to have all group winners in one group, india, aus, sa and pak would have been contesting the semi finals

the grp formation was pre decided. no matter whether india, SA AUs and Pak came 2nd or 1st in their grp stages match they were placed in the same grp. Lets not be a cry baby and if a team wants to win the wc, it shudnt matter whether u r facing a SA or afghanistan. U have to win, dats all that matters.

Bring it on SA, Aus and Pak. Indian team is waiting.

Agree, but the draw for group stages and super 8s was done last year.

Anyways, overall a good day. Pakistan and Leeds united two sporting giants, both win in style and move onto next stage of the respective cups.
