Well he got his comeuppance - Im not sure that a good beating is healthy for morale just before a world cup - Im wondering if this is the start of world cup damage limitation.

I dont think he lacks respect for Australia as Aussievillain says - but I do think that there is a total lack of respect for the tri nations tournament - New Zealand are resting players as well - although they can generally get away with it - in fairness to Oz - they rested players v Samoa - if there was a time to do it it was then - they played a proper team v SA and reaped the rewards.

Im reserving judgement until SA play their home games - but I dont think that the signs are good - and tes Dingbat - PDV is crap

In my honest opinion i have to say PDV is a total wind bag. I never had a problem with SA until that guy came along on to be fair i never had a problem with him until i saw him interviewed. The man is not worsth the paper his rather sub standard CV is written on and as i said in the article i dont understand for the life of me how he has has kept his job. In a country that demand Rugby success its incredible. How do you fire Jake white and then keep this guy for so long....

Because PDV has no respect for his own players never mind the Tri Nations, and its plain and obvious that there is a rather deep lack of respect for him tho they play the PC card very well these days in SA.

SA are doing nothing this WC unless their captain steps up and takes control mid tournament... ala england in the last world cup. ballsy move but it paid off and i respect that.

Well I dont mind it being quiet - after all it is off season - once the season starts it will pick up Im sure - Im on the cricket board as well - and thats got busier - especially now that the big games are on.
