A couple of points......
1. Is Sahin the new Alonso? He was fantastic tonight. Not only scoring 2 goals but also being the dominant player on the pitch. Every move we made came from him. He was always setting the tempo and even though there wasn't a pass forward that was on, he went backwards to start again, (like Allen) and that is exactly what BR likes his football played. Also imagine if we had brought him in when we sold Alonso after the 08/09 season. I know he was only 19 but we could have had him for the future. It is a shame we only get him for 1 year.
2. That is 2 weeks in a row that has involved the youngsters after the win v Young boys, that we have come from behind to win. You would think their heads would drop after going down, but they kept playing their football and showed the fight a passion that Liverpool stands for, so they all deserve credit for that.
3. Apart from the games v Hearts (home) and Arsenal I haven't seen 1 game where we havn't played well. Ok second half v West Brom we were poor and second half v Man Utd we struggled, but we only had 10 men. I think we are now slowly starting to see the football that BR wants and how much faith he has in the youngsters, Which is chalk and cheese to when Roy Hodgson was here.
Also I just heard Craig Burley talking on 5 live about what team could be our best and I had to agree with him.

Suarez in that little hole behind the striker could be amazing but who would you want to bring in to suit playing with Suarez? Cavani would be the dream with Borini off the bench. Thoughts?

Agree point 2.. The team looked very confident and played a good passing game but also got in the box asap.

I thought in the midpart of the game that Sahin and Pacheco linked midfield and attack very well.

Sahin. I may be wrong but, if both he and LFC want him to stay, a deal could be on. He will only want to stay if we make a massive improvement on last seasons results. With what I've seen since Young Boys, with ManC game thrown in, that's a bolt-on. JimmyTheRed

FBK - apparently we can buy him if we wish but there's that many stories floating around, I don't go along with any of it. I prefer just to wait and see what happens.

Nope, its the reason AFC limited how much they would pay for him.
Though chances are after a year, Madrid will be more partial to a transfer.

Link, I have only read, 'no buy clause' on contract. Though i agree if Madrid agree to it, anything is possible.

This Assaidi character looks as though he could be a great signing.
Who was responsible for finding him? Loved the way there were no rumours whatsoever about him, he just arrived. No-one I know had ever heard of him!
