Well, Town came from being a goal down to beat Dunfermline 2-1. Rhodes got both goals, Novak missed a great chance, even McCombe had an effort saved by the keeper!
Well done Town!

Cryer talking the usual claptrap he's noted for.
Let me just educate you a little about the finer art's of football - strikers are there to score goals and no one does it better than Rhodes and his goals to minutes played prove it.
The best ones also have the knack of being in the right place at the right time and here again Rhodes has this attribute in abundance.
I'll admit he appears to have some mysterious fitness problem which limits him to 60 mins each game, but this could due to some underlying health problem which we the fans don't know about.
Finally Cryer, Rhodes will score 25 goals next season providing we give him the right service and don't leave him stranded up front on his own most of the time.
Thankfully Clarky recognises the value of Rhodes and has already indicated that he will be one of his main players this season, so Cryer stop talking out of the hole in your R'se and you might learn something one day.

Mirf, I'm not denying he has the knack of been in the right place at the right time, but he does still miss his fair share of sitters, and that combined with his inability to play longer than 60 minutes has so far seen him limit his scoring to 20 league goals a season. While that isn't bad, it also isn't great, especially when he gives little else to the team and has to be dragged off well before full time.
If he could play 90 then he would score more, likewise if he started putting away some of the chances he misses, and if he could take his tally up to 30+ a season in the league I don't think anyone would have a problem with him mincing about the pitch. The problem for me so far is that he doesn't score enough goals to offset his lack of a contribution elsewhere. If he ups his goals tally, improves his fitness, or improves his all round game, I'd be all for him as Towns number 1 striker.

Mirf, the minute I start listening to you is time I slash my wrists.
I've listened to your Lee Clark lovey-dovey drivel for the whole of the last two seasons and how this super-dooper manager of ours is gonna get us promotion. For two seasons running I've told you that you are talking a load of b0110cks and guess what were still in Div1 and you really have been talking a load of b0110cks.
GUes, I was 100% right and you were totally wrong.
Yes, YOU WERE COMPLETELY WRONG.
And here you are again.... Same old drivel, same old clap trap and I'll tell you again: "with Jordan Rhodes as our main striker we haven't a hope in hell of getting promoted.
Rhodes cost us Promotion last season because he did not score enough goals. Not only that, when Rhodes plays no other strikers have a cat in hell's chance of scoring themselves because Jordan Rhodes does nothing for the team..... and not only that, when Jordan Rhodes plays we are defensively more susceptible because Jordan Rhodes never defends from the front, he just wanders around aimlessly doing nothing in particular.
In Lee Clark I trust
...... my backside

Crackpot Cryer,
21 years of age, 100 games and 45 goals for Town says it all to any knowledgeable football fan - except complete numbskulls like you.
Cryer admit it, you've been a loser most of your own sporting life and totally resent anyone else being a success, hence your continual knocking of virtually everyone and everything connected with HTAFC.
Do you know what Cryer, if you were twice as smart you'd still be stupid and if I ever met you I'd love to beat you up, but I have a problem with cruelty to dumb animals.

Mirf, you really are two sandwiches short of a picnic, not the brightest bulb or the sharpest tool in the box. For starters m, you should have worked out by now that I am probably the most successful player ever in the history of the Heavy Woollen Cup.
And there's much more, but NUFF said

Cryer, ordinarily people live and learn - you just live. Have you ever considered suing your brains for non support?.
As I told you the other week Cryer, just remember the 1982 HW Cup final against Lascelles Hall when you scored your usual Duck.
As for your football career, I'm still waiting for you to tell me who you played for, although I do know you were no where good enough to get into the Emley side and never got beyond doing a pre-season with them, before you realised they were a class apart from you.
Finally Cryer, If I could afford the wood I'd have your mouth boarded up.
