Ba and or Walcott.

Both or either in my mind and we would be set for a strong 2nd half of the season; both players would fit wonderfully well into BR fluid system with Ba through the middle and Walcott anywhere in the front 3.

My own belief is that LFC will bid for these players and i think they would prefer LFC to city (if city bid) due to the less likely playing time, of course LFC can help by being in or competing for the top 4 spots come Jan.

If Norwich IS a turning point and we go on a little winning run then LFC will shoot up the league and lets be honest if that happens LFC with its youth and structure in place has got to be a very attractive proposition to go and play for.

I am sure much of this criticism of Walcott from Arsenal fans is because they know he is set to leave (to someone, not necessarily Liverpool).

I am not saying he doesn't have weaknesses, but I bet if he had signed a new contract and someone wrote an article on the Arsenal board saying how bad Walcott was they would all be leaping to his defence saying he was brilliant.

If he signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal, you can be sure he would quickly return to that 'world class' bracket they used to place him.

^^^ Should read based of stats.

Arsenal fans don't really rate Walcott that much. His stats are good but so was Downings. He deffo wont fit into Brendan system. Poor technique, can't dribble for a winger and runs with his head down.

Where is he going to play? Certainly not as a CF as he doesn't have the movement to play that position.

I am very sure, perhaps some might say naively so, that Norwich is, or is part of a change in fortune. It's was certainly a change in luck; goal in 1:05 minutes!! I've said it before, revolution, slowly, it's getting there. If offered either Walcott or Ba, I would chase the former, Ba I fear, is an injury waiting to happen, hopefully I am wrong. I strongly suspect that, by the time January arrives, the youths in the squad will have shown themselves, together with All of BR's signings, to be good enough to hold their positions. For example, hands up please for all of those seeking to see Suso or Sterling relegated to the bench. No? I didn't think so either. Don't be surprised if we don't sign anyone in January. JimmyTheRed

I wouldn't be too surprised if we didn't do too much in the January window, mainly due to the lack of value in the market in mid season.

Sterling, Suso and The Ass man have been a breath of fresh air and have provided some much needed pace, trickery and flair.

Borini has yet to find his feet, but I still believe that we need another player as competition/cover for Suarez. On the face of it Ba would look ideal, but as jimmy says his fitness is a worry. I still remember him failing a medical at Stoke.

I'm kind of hoping Brendan has another surprise signing up his sleeve, ala Assaidi. Someone nobody knows about.
I really like the look of Assaidi, and loved the way he arrived. No fuss, no rumours just announced his signing. The Liverpool way, even in the internet age!

Doesn't Walcott want to play as the main striker? I thought I saw him moaning about playing on the wing again recently. Walcott as the main striker is a no-go IMO.

If we could get him for cheap and he's willing to play out wide then he's a good option, but we have other priorities, he'd want a huge wedge wage-wise and he's very inconsistent.

I'm not that fussed about him, and I also don't see why he'd swap Arsenal for Liverpool when he wouldn't be a shoo-in.

To be honest for the last 3 or 4 years opinion has been very split on Walcott. Since it looks like he'll leave a few of his supporters have probably switched though. Personally I haven't rated him for years but every now and again he'll score a brilliant goal which makes you think there must be talent there.. and then it's followed by a series of dismal displays that leave you pulling your hair out.

I'm not saying he's completely rubbish, he offers something very few other players can because he's so quick and he can finish well on a good day. But over his Arsenal career I'd say he's played well in less than half the games and when he's bad he's abysmal to the point where I'm sometimes embarrassed for him out on the pitch and he doesn't look like a footballer.

He wants to play as a striker and imo he won't be a top striker because pace and finishing aside his game is pretty weak. He'd probably still score around 15-20 goals a season but along with that there'll be inconsistency and a lot of frustration at his general play.

Demba Ba would fit into the Liverpool side like a glove. Walcott I reckon is leaving Manchester Citys feeder club aka Arsenal for Manchester City.
