All morning I've been hearing Pool fans on the radio using Bale to defend Suarez and on top of that I've been reading plenty of Spurs fans have a go at him as well ......Does he really deserve this ??????
TBH I can totally understand our fans having a pop at him and it does look pretty bad on the face of it but I do believe the two "dives" are very very different.....................
Suarez first , anybody with half a brain could see that it was a dive designed to win a pen , TBH it was cheating and I'm glad he didn't get away with it
Now for Bale .........What did he aim to get out of it ???? nowhere near the pen area and he certainly didn't try to get the guy carded or ask for a free kick.......What we have to remember about Bale is the months and months he has spent on the treatment table after being continually wiped out by defenders who simply couldn't handle him and the only way they could stop him was to hack him down................Back to yesterday the Villa keeper was travelling at about 100mph and looked for all the world to see as if he was going to have a massive collision with Bale , as it happens he pulled out at the last split second and TBH made the incident look pretty shoddy , now none of us know what's going through Bales head , could be "I'm going to dive now" but more likely for me is "bloody hell I'm getting out of the way of that effing great big git" ............We simply don't know but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt
TBH Bale needs to carry on NOT getting destroyed by inferior defenders whose only way of stopping him is by trying to cripple him because we need him fit and well if we are to maintain our charge up the table

My question to Bale would be if he would do the same thing in the pen area and leap out the way of any contact? Can' t see it myself and he would be prone to leap towards contact.
Needs players and management and fans to warn him to man up.

My take on the Bale dive is this. Whilst i dont condone the fall/dive at all, i genuinely think the reason Bale went to ground on Sunday was because he thought the keeper was going to go right through him. Bale's problem is, he's just a bit of a wimp - rather than a diver. When he goes down injured it literally could just be a broken toe nail or something more serious, you just cannot tell.
Its no better or worse that a normal dive, and if i'm right then Bale should have said that to the keeper when he got back up, but i imagine admitting you're scared of a challenge would do him more harm in the future.

Bale dived tonight against Scotland that is for certain. His second goal was great though.
