HAS OVERSENSITIVITY RUINED THESE BOARDS?

I read more than post on these boards, but I notice that there seems to be a downward trend in terms of activity on here. Perhaps this is due to international weeks, but I have noticed this in other weeks too.

Could it be that because everybody seems to want to filter people, and everybody who puts a word out of line gets banned from one board or another, that it's all becoming a bit , well, dull?

So far as I'm concerned, people who write morally wrong things should be banned from the site full stop, and those found guilty of perpetual wumming should be put on a 1 post per 30 mins rule, but I don't see the need for anything else.

Are our poor delicate eyes really too sensitive to read the posts of somebody we think is an idiot? Should we really ban idiots from the board or should we just rididule them as they deserve?

People say that ousting the perceived WUMs enhances the debate, but to be honest, just watching endless permutations of suggested transfer activity and squad choices is hardly riveting either, it's tedious.

So here we go, I like the WUMs, this board needs the WUMs, it's part of the fun of football debate. I like what the site has done to try and limit the impact of 'non-value added' debate, but I think it's gone too far the wrong way and has lost a lot of the character that I used to enjoy on here.

That said, this site is the product of it's users, and I think it's about time we stopped complaing about users who annoy us and man up a bit.
