When BAE is fit does he deserve to start?

Injury must be a concern for our players, since for some it has been difficult to win their place back.

I remember that many rated Dawson not just for Spurs but England also. Huddlestone is another that was knocking on the door for his Country. After a period of injury they are now not even rated by some of our own supporters. Dawson has never been given a chance with a settled partner and now both Caulker and the matured Kaboul are good enough. Huddlestone with the right midfield partner is awesome.

Ade is another who has gone from hero to zero during injury with some of our supporters.

For me Caulker has won his place at CB. Does BAE deserve his place back? Who does he replace?

Is an article with one star better than those with no stars?

Naughton is by far and away our best left back. Very tactically astute. Stick him at right back and he comes inside far too much...with just Lennon for company down the right we would be punished.

There is no room for b.a.e now he is not tactically aware or disciplined and we now play a very disciplined game.

There was an interesting article the other day explaining that gallas is the cause of walkers supposed bad form. Can't find it now!

Walker in bad form I believe again it's another myth spread by people saying something but not looking at the bigger picture.

We play a disciplined game now not free flowing football, walker won't be bombing down the right because he has no permission to do so. His positioning defensively is fine it's the gap between his centre back partner which is the problem.

As soon as gallas is dropped it will be easy to identify.

We also need to forget about Kaboul I doubt we will see him before January. He isn't scheduled to start training until late December.

Vertongheny,

Cheers, I suddenly feel appreciated for at least effort if not substance.

Sage

It's a very could article and we could debate it for along time as people have there own favourites and think they could play different formations etc

Vertonghen has been an able deputy when Naughton got crocked.

BAE is a shoe-in. This is not a good situation.
Either Rose must develop into a proper LB, or a younger future prospect must be found.

I posted this article to promote some open debate to see if others thought the same as me and also to have a debate and learn. I am both surprised and delighted. I am very interested in the comment about Walker's form being affected by the Gallas partnership and the statement that no current options completely solve the LB position, which is possible why this is such a good debate. The LB position is very much open and available to the one who wants it most. Attitudes change as you age, for BAE it is time to want the position and to play with passion for us and not just for money.
