Im Worried,

I feel Indian players, ie Kohli, and some other players are making conclusions and strong statements too early. Kohli said that we shud provide England with rank turners and make sure we use our advantage. he also went to say, England struggled against pakistan's bowling attack, which has one quality spinner in ajmal.

Let me be frank, India are going to struggle. Our batting aint strong and other than kohli every other batsman are out of form. Lets just be honest here. Pujara is struggling in the domestic seoson, our seniors, gambhir, sehwag and tendulkar are no where near their best, and dont see them coming back to form any time soon, atleast not against the pace bowling of England.
It would be very embarassing after all these careless statement we los the first test. Indian fans lets check the reality, our spinners havent been tested against a quality team. And England is a team that wants to prove their critics wrong. Nothing better than beating India resoundingly and prove ow.

Last time india played england we managed to win only one test match. that also due to sehwag and sachin masterclass. now its only kohli.
cant wait for this series to start, but also worried that Indian players shud stick to their job and stop making stupid excuses and reosonings.

Fear not, Viruda, England wont get enough runs to win a test against you in your own back yard. Pakistan didnt have to make big runs to beat us 3-0, all you have to do is bowl spin (anyone will do) after 4 overs.

4-0 India

the difference there was England were pretty complecent, and pakistan's spin attack is very gd. right now i would put India's team slightly below sl in the subcontinent. their batting is better than ours and they probably have a better bowling than india's. england drew against sl. dat itself proves that india will not have a easy tour.

we r hyping indian team too much. its a very delicate team. and our bowling aint gd.
its just not that hard sprinkler. im not saying india will lose, but lets not hype india like we r going to win hands down. its going to be a hard fought series for sure.

england will not have a problem bowling india out. they will just struggle in batting(unless they have learnt their lesson). whereas india's batting and bowilng is weak. bar ashwin and maybe ojha(although both havent played a gd team in India) are the only hope for india's bowling.

India will have the crowd behind them, SL didnt have that.

If India make 300 in an innings - they`ll win.

England have no chance! Seriously...

I wouldn't read too much into the SL draw, SL are dreadful. Think England will struggle in this tour, the inexperienced batsmen are going to have a very tough time.

Does anyone know the England team politics right now? Is KP going to start the first test or is he just in the squad?

Duncan, KP is back and will play. New skipper now so should be interesting to see how Cook fares. England are looking to prepare in a similar way they prepared for when playing Austrailia away with plenty of practice games to acclimatise.

Don't know how much acclimatisation will help in India..playing a practice match and playing a match in a stadium full of fans will be a different story.

Also, hilarious that India didn't provide any spinners for the warm up game lol. But when you have the "best spinner" in the world bowling at you in the nets, surely even if India A was 11 spinners, they wouldn't come near Swanny

You do have to laugh that the warm ups will have no spin but that's what home advantage is for. In England you warm up against bowlers that bowl 80mph and then come the tests you get the 6ft6 90MPH bowlers.

Kohli generally says silly things. Luckily, he has made up for it with the bat for us in recent years.

If it works for him / fires him up, then great; but as long as the rest of the team don't listen to his words, then I am happy.
