We may have won the match against Reading and qualified for next round of League Cup but......

Let's not delude ourselves this was not a great performance. We were lucky to play against a team which looked as brittle as ourselves and have yet to win a game in EPL. Frankly against any other team we would have been dead and buried once we conceded four goals.

Our defence was appalling all night. Djourou lacks physicality and is poor
in the air and Koscielny had frankly a nightmare. He was lucky not to be sent off.

Similarly the midfield and forwards looked equally inadequate until the arrival of Giroud and Eisfeld. Defending was sloppy and creativity almost
non existent.

The worry at the moment is that our first team is defensively okay, but struggles to put the ball in the net and our squad players are the exact opposite.

The club needs in my view urgent review of both personnel and tactics.
Above all it needs a new manager with fresh ideas.
