I don't enjoy going to Plymouth, it's cold, miserable and the tea I had was luke warm, that said 15 minutes of football warmed me up! We gave Plymouth far too much respect, we should have played two or even three up front and we would have smashed them.

We were poor, utter rubbish to be fair. Both sides were. Some of the worst football I have seen in the first half. We just don't have that sparkle up front at the moment. Calvin toiled all night, but without a foil (Kee or Paterson imo) beside him, his holding up the ball and laying it off is pointless as midfield does not support him. We have no mobility on the front line - Pato should play - we need a natural goal scorer - Kee should play. We are a 442 team, nothing else, we have players to affect this - but it's no good having them sat on the bench!

Mags (who was poor) on one side, Chappell on the other (sorry Clev but you offer nothing). We need to get back to the football where we stretched the opposition - games against Oxford and Northampton we were brilliant doing this because we played a passing game. Hoofing it to Calv and hoping he does someting is a negative impact on the squad and our style of play.

Right, little rant over. We have a good defence and a battling midfield. I am delighted to have stolen the 3 points. Fifth in the table is amazing. I am staying with my friends in Bristol again on Saturday for the Cheltneham game, if we play 442 and to our strengths then I believe we can get something from the game. If we play one up front and continue to hoof it, then it will be another 'Gillingham away day'.

Great insight BurtonBoy, I just hop GR can see what you have seen last night. Zola is a handfull for any team, but he needs support around him. GR needs to tweek this team to get the best from them. Playing one up front is not working because hoof football does not work in this league.
I will take the 3 points all day long. But we need to do better GR.

Last season we were extremely lucky for the first half of the season. We bagged so many lucky points in games we should have lost.

Many times this season we have won games when we have been rubbish.

These players can play well so there might be a time when we start playing well and winning stacks of games on the bounce.

Total respect to you Burton Boy for going to that game. Respect going to the game on a sunny Saturday in August or May - total respect going on a dark November Wednesday night.

Does anyone know if there is going to be any controversy about Billy Kee playing (as a sub)? Apparently he wasn't on the teamsheet. If that is the teamsheet the officials had we could be in trouble. If it is just the teamsheet the media were given that is fine.
