Federer 31, better than peak Murray?

I think Murray started very well and imposed very heavy shots on Federer at first. A rusty, hesitating Roger started to get the rhythm of Andy's groundies and once Federer cut down on the UEs, he proved himself a better builder of the point and strategist. Murray lost confidence and mentally collapsed.

It will be tough for Federer tomorrow as at 31, one doesn't line up matches day in day out as easily as at 25. But if he is ok physically, the match is in his racquet.

Allez Federer!

By the way tennis players do not lose matches on purpose because they want a break.

I do, more so than yourself I would well imagine. Roger is notoriously smug and patronizing and many tennis fans more knowledge than both you and I also believe this. I find he has a condescending manner, is very different and at times, stroppy in defeat and in general I don't like him. That is my opinion, now run along and deal with it instead of questioning people's knowledge. The day he has '15' emblazoned on his tracksuit is what did it for me.

I 100% agree with Kagawa comments above. Exactly how i view him.
Much the same as i view Phil Taylor at the darts!

but Logie he seems such a gentleman. sickening the way the O2 crowd pandered to him whilst largely ignoring one of their own. a gold medal winner and first male grand slam singles champion in 76 years.

What about Federer abusing Djokovic and his parents on court? What about the gamesmanship on Monday night when he purposely sat in the wrong seat? What about his manner towards the younger versions of Murray and Djokovic? He was very dismissive of them at one point and there is still a bit of needle to this day. It isn't deluded to find that somebody appears a bit smug. In fairness, he has good right to be, but can be a poor loser and many agree he appears patronizing and smug. Just accept it.
