This used to be a given didnt it; Stevie G hands down, he was the go to guy the man who can and who invarably did. However those days are in the past and although SG still offers his fair share...he is not the main LFC driving force; so who is the MVP??
Well for me its not Suarez and its not Agger or Reina, for me the guy that by his sheer prescence and lift he gives to the team as well as his great footballing ability.....LFC,s MVP is quite obviously LUCAS LEIVA
Watch the team crack on now, bringing Lucas back not only means we have a top player back but it means Allen moves forward and the team dynamic changes. He really does mean so much to our team, in fact he could be the catalyst for turning draws into wins.

I do think we'll see a huge improvement in performances and results when Lucas comes back, and you'll see far more penetrative play from the likes of Joe Allen. He's so so important for us and we've missed him so much.

I agree. I'm excited about how our midfield will play, when Lucas is back. I think it'll be a lot stronger. It sometimes looks like our midfield gets bypassed in games, on the defensive side.
Also, I think he could be back for the following game after Swansea. He's been a big miss but we have to remember, he was out for a long time before this injury and wasn't exactly pulling up trees when he came back. He needs to be brought back slowly.

IMO Agger would be a good shout for future captain. He's solid, and as TOOR said plays it out from the back. I know it'll take time for Lucas to get back to top form, but he's an important part of the spine of the team.

In fairness he did look like a huge mark up from anybody else we have that plays in that role but I agree 100% we need to ease him back.
The best thing about this is that we can now flip the midfield triangle and play 1 holding and 2 getting forward. Should make us a lot more attacking.

That's also a major bonus as Lucas does the role so well that he's able to cover for other players and thus the gap isn't as big when players get forward.

Lucas is the best DM in the league.
Suarez is our best player though.
