remember when everyone raved on about our youth system and our young players.
Now a few years down the line what actual decent players have come out of our youth system in the previous 7-8 years and made it as a very good player and also what players have we bought very young and nurchered to be then rewarded a top player currently playing for us and not somwhere else.
it would be nice to compare it to the likes of chelsea, manchester united and maybe others like Liverpool who had less media attention to their youth system than ours.

From what I've seen Suso could be great, but a real worry I'd have as a Liverpool fan is him turning out somewhat like Ramsey.
Great player with bags of potential, but gets so much pressure heaped on him while coming into a team with a losing mentality, losing a bit of confidence and the fans getting on his back and it just getting worse from there.
Sorry for late reply, had to go do some work halfway through my reply

Any player who's balding by the age of 25 should quit football and work in transport planning. Zidane would've been a great transport planner.

Absolutely agree about the Cesc effect. He was almost one of a kind in how good he was at 17,18,19, maturity way beyond his years.
People slate Ramsey, but he is still just a boy. He is also a CM, which is probably the position that requires the most "all round" attributes.
What I mean by this is that he needs to develop everything i.e. Strength, Passing, Tackling, Atheticism, Pace, Acceleration, Shooting to be considered a good player, whereas someone like Zaha or Sterling are quick and can dribble, but have plenty of time to perfect crossing and other attributes without receiving undue stick for it

What I mean about Ramsey is that when he was playing alongside Cesc, with little to no expectation playing here and there he was fantastic, often outshining Cesc,
When he came back he had heaps of expectation put on him at such a young age which was even worse given the nature of the injury he suffered.
Since he's come back his confidence looks shot and he's not the same player. He still shows glimpses of what he can do but his decision making really lets him down, something I think is due to him lacking in self belief so over thinking his moves.

Agree 100% re Ramsey, but he's still at an age where he can get back to his best.
Needs some support and a less pivotal role for a while though.

Our confidence is so fragile at the moment that every role is pivotal and the pressure is on every player

Unfortunately you may be right. I'd be nice if Ramsey could have eased back into the side, but it just hasn't happened that way.
Unluckily for him, he's not one of the untouchables - the players who would be cheered if they scored an O.G.
