Free Choice

I see that the Dundee Utd fans are wanting action against Rangers. On what basis?

It is Rangers choice whether to accept an allocation of ticket which they will distribute. Dont think there is any mandatory limit on the number of fans you have to take to a game? should we have complained when DUFC only brought 1000 fans to a 50,000 stadium on regular occasions, or that Albion Rovers wouldn't fill the broomloan road stand for a future cup tie? There are no conditions on how many fans you have to take. They still get their share of the gate money for cup ties.

Dundee United have the choice of handling the tickets themselves. They could allocate an area to rangers fans and sell directly. which clubs such as Hibs have done in protest at the old firm handling charges.

Rangers fans then have the choice to buy them or not.

Not really fussed about the gate money but it's laughable when you consider the amount of ties over the years at Ibrox and CP where there has been over 40,000 fans with about 50 of them in the away end and the gate money is split without anyone batting an eyelid. Now people are up in arms coz there will be about 5k - 7k Utd fans and no Bears and that might get split.

It's daft we aren't accepting tickets but if we had taken the allocation but not sold a single one, or even sold about 25, would the split of the gate money still bother anyone? Course it would! Pathetic, it really is

Which is exactly what they will do.

Since the OF imposed handling charges DUFC have always kept some of the 'away' allocation back to sell directly to away fans.

Incidently, DUFC charged their own fans the same price for the rearranged fixture as Rangers fans and the prices were slashed to £10 for adults and £5 for bairns. I honestly can't understand why you feel so persecuted by DUFC?.

As for what happened to Rangers during the summer - reality check - this had absolutely nothing to do with Dundee United. Rangers didn't pay their employees PAYE or NI and the club had been living way, way beyond their means. Administation failed and Rangers went bust.

I know it suits you to have a scapegoat - but the reality is that you're playing in the 3rd Division because you are a brand new club 'The Rangers'.

You can boycott whoever you want - apart from your lackies at the Daily Record - no-one really cares. But you really should look at the facts.

===========================

Actually we are not. Same old club, with 140 years of history.

Wrong.....again. The Rangers is a company which happens to own Rangers Fottball Club.

Your ability to deflect from your own failings, find a scapegoat and stir up antagonism appears to have no bounds.

I stand corrected - you obviously are the same club!
