Adrian Purtell can play again

This is great news Adrian recieved from his specialist.....a clean bill of health.

I'm always a bit sceptical when a player makes these decisions after a very serious health issue...

South's helped Ben Ross by supporting him and providing the best of equipment in order to get him into shape after damaging nerves to his neck region. App. 18 months of physio before Ross got the all clear to resume contact sport.
Even though after a short few matches you could see Ross had come back to what he was before the accident and with 100% confidence, I was always doubtful if the opposition defence were/are hitting Ross with the same force they would on another player.
Brent Tate is another.....he wears a neck brace in every game and although it is only a preventative collar I'm sure he doesn't get whacked as hard as he would without it.
Perhaps in Purtell's case it might be different considering it's the ticker and can't be seen by the opposing players of whom I'm sure will give him a pat on the rear after each tackle along with congratulations...
