Duke, I've run the European end of a sporting goods co, and now run a wee property development company after 2 successful, successive buy outs of said company, and believe me when I say that no customer, however big, ever dictated policy or swayed deals towards a biased setup. You deal with all customers fairly, or you end up with only one customer, your favourite.

Bigger customers just a little more fairly.
You never moved a deal up for a big customer.
Advised a good client a great property was coming on the market
Thats fair aint it.
And just good business.

Nope & nope. For the basic reason that other customers, upon finding out, would walk to competitors. Far too big a risk.

Dc. Spot on. You listen to customers and evaluate what they want but you don't let them make decisions. That's why paddy McCourt doesn't get games for Celtic. Of course it's well known that the CFO of tennents gets to pick the teams for Celtic and rangers every week.
You've got your hands full trying to talk sense into that lot mate. You have my sympathies
