Fed up with what I am reading and the negativity I can't help but feel a reality check is required. After all, what good has ever come from a negative attitude, in my experience it only hinders efforts. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
First of all, addressing the issue of our Chairman. He backs the club with his finance and the risk is attached to him, not least in his reputation. Mr Chairman has invested in this team. (Please look at the starting 11, majority we paid cash for). The AP is in place to bring quality not quantity. Just think back to the era of Platt & co, then to League 1 and the likes of Eugene Dadi, Gino Padula. Don't be short sighted and assume because we have a small squad bringing in numbers will equal promotion. No, focus on the quality, and I feel the AP are in a qualified position to do this.
Like all good clubs a plan needs to be in place. This plan is in place and nearly became a reality, however it didn't quite work. (I won't take lack of investment as a reason, did Swansea/Norwich invest greater amounts - Gunter, Camp, Earnie, Dex, McGoldrick, Raddi etc). As such, a decision was taken to move in another direction. On paper a good appointment was realized in Steve Mc and I am pleased to see the majority of the faithful behind him.
Why moan about lack of players, focus on the quality, don't be short sighted and consider the finance. Like many, the season ticket cost is a heavy burden, but not as heavy as the several hundreds of thousands to have squad player adding little. Just ask Pompey loyal or Plymouth fans.
The club know we need a left back, back them to sort this. Back the Chairman to have the clubs interest at heart and back the manager to get the squad working together. Negativity will never do any good and very rarely acts as a positive catalyst. Keep the faith and enjoy the season ahead. The player list below is for me positive Up the reds.
Camp
Gunter, Wes, Chambo, Cohen
USA,Lewis, Greening, Reid
Tudgay, Garner
Squad: Smith, Darlow, Lynch, Maloney, Freeman, Les, George B, Raddi, GMc, Ando, Moose, McGoldrick, Dex (Jan)

You know those numbers for a fact because last year Derby's average attendance was around 25k and Glick was on the bbc saying it was around 16k last month while Leicester had sold 12k? I don't see any news about ours at all.
If you have an opinion then you're entitled to it but making things up just devalues that. I'd be interested to see where your figures come from.

Always the charmer LLoyd,
I work with about 10 of each Fester and Derby fans who had been out to renew season tickets and that was what they were told were the figures up to last week

I think I put it fairly politely but still think those numbers are wrong. Those figures I quoted were from google which linked to their websites in mid/late May. Where was the 11k Forest figure from?

Trees....My comment about buying the club was very much tongue in cheek, I think that was quite obvious. I really don't understand why you are proud of the fact you swear on another board. Moron is a strong word as it disrespectful and unfair considering you have not met the chap in question.
I really am amazed by how upset you are over the position we are in. I get down after defeat whether in the car on the way back home or away, but we really are not in that bad a state.
While I am here those facts are ridiculous. Even if true my thoughts would be that the number of season tickets sold does not dictate the quality of the club. We finished strongest out of all 3.
Also, definition of blind faith is someone without a true perception. I don't know what qualifies you to have more insight than me. But we all have different opinions and there we go. Come on you reds.

ST figures came from our ticket office ..... unsurprisingly
Like I say, I used to have blind faith too , not any more though

I wouldn't put money on anything ticket offices say is true - it's probably less in all three cases (especially the other team's cases where you've been told by fans).

The fans happen to be good friends too who are far too sensible and honest people to make anything up.
Why would both those 2 clubs give figures that are grossly over-inflated ? While ours gives out a figure that is grossly under what it actually is ? It makes no sense.

Not saying they lied to you, I asked you where you got your figures and it was word of mouth so you answered me. We'll see how they go this season but I'd be surprised if BDerby sold 24,000 tickets when their average attendance was that last season having dropped from 29,000. They certainly haven't done anything to get people back through the doors.
Why would clubs give over inflated figures? To increase demand, you may worry they'll sell out. To put the word out to fans that they're doing well, I don't know. They haven't actually put those figures out, it's someone in the ticket office talking to punters, their official website said they'd sold far far less.
If you read my post I didn't say we'd under estimated, in fact those figures seem on par with what we normally sell.

Let me assure you that they are accurate. Ours are going down, and have been doing for quite some time, and fans will continue to fall . The longer that ND and Marthur continue to be as grossly unambitious as they are, the fans are not daft. Loyalty from fans will continue to drop in accordance with the complete lack of ambition shown by the board to get promoted. 13 years and plenty of fans have had enough and are showing this by not renewing.
