On twitter that Alex Thomson has tweeted that 'Limmy' has been arrested based on some comments made on a channel 4 programme.
From what I can see, Limmy is the brother of the more famous Limmy from BBC. He has made a bit of a name for himself through fairly offensive and moronic podcasts and the likes.
Arrested Limmy comes across as a total to$$er and so have little to no sympathy for him, but slightly bemused as to what he has been arrested for. Being a whank is not really criminal offence.
Anyone know any of the details?

There have been far too many over the top reactions to the whole debacle of the past few years.
The Thomson story does fan the flames, but the fact that there is anything to fan at all is what is problematic.
People who do not actually work for the club need to realise something.
IT IS ONLY A GAME.
That's it.
For people who work for the club, it is their livelihood.
For everyone else, it is a pastime, a hobby, a means of spending a few hours away from the normal everyday lives we all lead.
To those who have sought & continue to make it otherwise, a single message.
Go, go now, and take your vitriolic, moronic, nonsense with you.

Limmy has tweeted this to STV:
"Alleged" offensive remarks and it wasn't a podcast and wasn't anti terrorist officers.

To be honest, not enough info for me to honestly answer if its an over reaction.
He does seem to be encouraging folk to tweet the girl, and his language is fairly leading in that he does not expect it to be pleasant messages.
What is insinuated but not confirmed is that he also leaked info about her address etc.
If this is the case then I dont really have any sympathy.
If a nut job on the internet started some hate campaign against me and started posting personal details about where I lived then I would not be best pleased and would hope I could get them charged with something.

Actually, forget the bit about posting her address, that was nonsense.
In which case I think the arrest for saying folk shout tweet her is to be quite honest, ridiculous!
Half of the guys on here started tweeting Yoko Ono for a laugh a few weeks back!

She was the editor for Phil 3 names book.
He siad that folk should wind her up on twitter.
Bit of a untish thing to do, but hardly worthy of getting dragged out your house by the bomb squad!
