He was out quickly and down low to cover the shot. The chances of a lob or high shot given the reduced nets and the shrt distances involved were very remote. It's fairly standard Goalkeeping style in Futsal. It's why Falcao was able to do it, 99 times out of 100 a keeper in Futsal will come to block it in that fashion.
Like when Ronaldinho put the free kick under Chelsea's wall. 99 times out of a 100, the wall will jump - it seems so obvious now, but it takes a genius to have the balls to be the first to take advantage of it.

It's a smashing game when it's played right.
Been playing it for years myself recreationally and use it a lot in youth coaching at our club.
Very quick and tight, but very non contact. Purely technique based.
When you see good players playing it well, it's fantastic.
