This Saturday our teams pit their wits against each other for the third time this season,, with the scores currently being one a piece.
I would like to ask you if there are enough of you, do some of you fancy a game of football in Leicester before the match. We are group of Leicester fans who play in the annual 606 Cup and charity tournaments now and again. In fact we participated in charity tournament at the Shobnal Leisure Complex in July.
We, being honest are not of a high standard,play most Saturday mornings between 10 - 12 at Victoria Park (next to the De Montfort Hall). We range from 16 to 49. I'm 49 and my knee's have gone, but I still enjoy it.
So Brewers Fans can you get a 5, 6, 7, 8 lads together, or maybe even an 11 a side game,
And if you want to, you could join in the next 606 cup, which I might be organizing at the end of this season.
Let me enlighten you on the 606 Cup.
This is where the fans from different teams come together to raise money for the Sport Releif. It was started by a Leeds United fan, and this year will be the fifth year. They charge £10 per player to play. Normally we have had two groups of four, Semi finals then the final.
The teams come from all corners of the Football League.
Fans from Manchester City, Aston Villa, Leeds United, Leicester City, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Yoevil Town, Reading, Burnley, Gillignham, Coventry City, Tottenham Hotspur, Swindon Town, Northanpton Town have all participated over the years, and many friendships have been formed.

The Albion do have a supporters team i know for sure as i've seen them play over Shobnall leisure complex. If you search t'internet you will find the details you need. Hope it all works out well and you got sore knees before you watch the cup tie !!!!!

My smoking habit might preclude me - though I could play in goal most of the time. I could play the occasional cameo role upfront, scoring a few before retreating back between the sticks to preserve the healthy lead I would have given us.

I read this morning that we are onto our 9th coach fully booked for this game - really looking forward to it, although I think GR might rest one or two of the 1st eleven if we get a result at York.

Hi all,
I'm also a member of the Leicester City 606 Cup team and I'd like to echo Gloria's invitation to you. I very much doubt we'd be able to organise 11-a-side (!) but we'll probably end up playing 5-a-side on Astroturf so if any of you would like to join us you'd be most welcome.

Any other lads just fancy a kick about for an hour around 11 or 12 o clock on Saturday before the game. we play on Astro turf and it is free. 5,6 or 7 a side.
We could do with a work out, after seeing our efforts this morning before the Huddersfield game this afternoon. We are onlyabout 25 miles apartand would be nice to have a bit of banter and a laugh while we play. There is also a very good pub near where we play, which is always full on match days, with both sets of supporters and never any trouble there, and it is close to the Stadium.
